Strokestra

One standout program is Strokestra, a unique blend of music and therapy held at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Stroke Support Group

Brain Health Outreach Group

Held at the Center for Health & Wellbeing in Winter Park, the Brain Health Outreach Group provides free classes to individuals diagnosed with neurological conditions. Sessions are offered in-person, virtually, or in a hybrid format.The offerings include:

• Music Therapy – A fun and beneficial blend of singing and movement that supports cognitive recall and speech.

• Rock Steady Boxing – Designed for individuals with Parkinson’s, tremors, or mobility challenges.

Personally, I’ve been participating in the Music Therapy program, which combines exercise and singing. It’s been both fun and challenging, and I’m excited to continue building new skills through this approach.

HOPE Clinic – Free Occupational Therapy

For those without insurance, the HOPE Clinic in Orlando offers free occupational therapy. This remarkable initiative makes AdventHealth the first OT program in Florida to operate a free-standing clinic focused on community care.
