My journey with horseback riding opened the door to an incredible resource I wish I had known about sooner. Navigating the service delivery system and finding the right resources has always been a challenge for individuals with disabilities and their families.
That’s exactly why The Family Café exists.
Since 1998, The Family Café has been dedicated to connecting Florida’s disability community with vital information, training, peer support, and opportunities to engage with professionals and policymakers. Their mission is to empower families through knowledge and connection.
Be sure to visit www.familycafe.net and learn more about their signature annual event, held every June at the Hyatt Regency Orlando.
Best of all—it’s free to attend!
I also found this while attending the conference. A site that gathers all information about "Grants to Cover Your Medical Needs" in one spot. Go to grants.supportnow.org and signup for your free account. That's just one of the many things you can get by going to the conference.
